Pingyao
Pingyao (平遥) is a city and a county in central Shanxi province. It is about 715km from Beijing and 80km from the provincial capital, Taiyuan (太原). It was built 2,700 years ago and during the Qing Dynasty, Pingyao was a financial centre of China. It is now renowned for its well-preserved ancient city wall.
